A Catalogue for a House in Winter

A catalogue is a kind of house: it gathers objects under one roof, gives each a room, and allows the visitor to return after the doors have closed.

For the winter sequence, Frederick Wentham’s small paintings were recorded beside extracts from household lists, garden notes, and unposted letters.

The result is not a souvenir but an afterlife for the exhibition.
